With 75,000 hotspots across the Maltese Islands, MelitaWiFi is the nation’s largest WiFi network. The service is free for our mobile and internet customers, who can use up to 20 GB a month, whilst Big Blue mobile customers can use up to 50 GB! What’s more, because the hotspots are scattered all across the Maltese islands, our customers’ experience is seamless. They need only to sign in to a MelitaWiFi hotspot once, and then their device will automatically connect to a hotspot whenever it is in range. Customers can then make use of high speed WiFi even when out and about. Now that is convenient.
Internet usage has also significantly changed in the last few years. Gone are the days of dialing up and waiting 15 mins for a picture of a cat to download! Video calls, live streaming, online gaming and lightning fast downloads were things that we could only dream of until a few years ago.
