I joined Melita 10 years ago, it was my very first job and I’m very happy. My current role is Wholesale Business Assistant, where I am responsible for providing a good experience to our travelling customers. I do this by facilitating the co-ordination between our technicians and other roaming partners.
When I first joined Melita I formed part of the Customer Care Department and that’s why when I was approached to feature in a video about our Customer Service Promises, I jumped at the opportunity.
Melita has now become my second home and the people are like a second family to me, so I felt proud to represent the brand on a video. It was also a different thing to do even though this was not my first experience in a TV production. Filming took a long time and it was done after my shift was over, but although it was really tiring, overall it was a really nice experience and if I’m asked again in the future I will definitely do it again.
Around the same time that I joined Melita I caught the travel bug. It was after my first trip with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. Today, boarding a plane gives me a sense of excitement that nothing else does. I love visiting new countries and experience the things that I read about and see on the television. I love the sense of relaxation that comes with travelling and it’s probably the only time when my mind is not thinking about the 100 different things, that I need to do.
Last year I had the opportunity to ride over Cappodocia Turkey in a hot air balloon. It was an amazing experience, which, I’d love to do again, even though I’m not a morning person and we had to wake up at 4.30am to catch the sunrise.
Unfortunately, my hobby is not something that I can practise everyday, but if I am not on holiday, I am always planning one.
