How fast can I get MyHotspot?
We offer same-day pick up from any of our shops. We can also deliver your MyHotspot router within 2 working days.
How easy is it to set up?
Alcatel Linkzone MW7 has an integrated rechargeable battery, so make sure you keep it charged. For the Alcatel LinkHub Home Station Desktop Router you’ll need a power socket or a power bank and you’re all set!
How many devices can I connect to the MyHotspot modem?
Up to 32 different devices (tablets, computers, mobiles) can be connected to a MyHotspot router.
Does MyHotspot work outdoors?
Yes, all you need is a power source! So, if you’re outdoors you can connect it to a power bank and you’re good to go.
Will 400 GB each month be enough on the MyHotspot plan?
400 GB each month is more than enough for general browsing and 2-3 hours of video calls or streaming every day.
How can I activate my HotSpot?
Our MyHotspot router comes with an activated SIM card. Charge it up or plug it in, switch it on and start enjoying the internet - wherever you are.
Do I need to sign a contract with MyHotspot?
Yes, a one-year agreement applies.
If I have the MyHotspot plan, how can I track if I’m near the 400 GB monthly download limit?
The easiest way is to check on MyMelita via the App or website. Alternatively, In the MyHotspot router settings you will be able to follow your data usage and check your notifications. When you’ve used 80% of your 400 GB, a message will be sent to the MyHotspot route; another message will be sent when you've used the full 400GB - then you’ll be automatically switched to our Pre paid data bundle at a cost of €1 per 1 GB. This means that you'll never run out of data.
How do I pay for MyHotspot?
At the end of each month, you'll receive a bill that covers your subscription for that month. The bill will also include If any the cost for any additional data bundles from the previous month.
Can I use MyHotspot by Melita when I’m abroad?
No, MyHotspot by Melita can only be used locally.
Can I use MyHotspot to make calls and send text messages?
You can use your MyHotspot SIM to send SMS at 5c/SMS. Calls are not possible.
Does MyHotspot work the same as an Internet Key?
Yes, the MyHotspot is a small portable device, also known as a wi-fi dongle, internet stick or internet key that allows you to access the internet everywhere.
