Slow WiFi connection with an Arris modem

If you are experiencing slow WiFi connection, follow the steps below:

  • Confirm that you are connected with the correct SSID
  • If yes disconnect all devices from the network.
  • Connect 1 device using the 5GHz Wi-Fi network. (if no device is compatible to 5GHz connect to 2.4GHz)
  • Make sure to stop any background usage on the device and stay 1 meter away from the modem
  • Speed test through WI-FI should be reaching 80% of your package.
  • If the speed remains below 80%, please verify that the device supports the your package
