Our 5G network can reach speeds up to 1,000 Mbps or 1 gigabit per second. At any time the speed your device gets will depend on the maximum speed your device can reach and other factors, such as your location, for example you’ll generally get faster 5G speeds outdoors.
One of the advantages of 5G is that the network has more capacity, so more devices can connect at any time. This means you’ll still get good speeds in crowded areas when lots of people are using their mobiles. However, when lots of people are using the network at the same time each customer will get lower speeds.
More mobile operators across the world are switching to 5G, as they do, we are working with our international roaming partners to give our customers access to 5G when they travel.
If you have a 5G enabled device and would like to get 5G, you’ll need to switch to one of our Endless mobile plans. Contact us here.
5G is the next generation of mobile networks, coming after 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. 5G is faster with much lower latency; the higher bandwidth means more devices can benefit from faster internet connections at the same time.
